Terms

This site is run by Library St. Studios LLC, 1250 Library St., Suite 21, Detroit, Michigan 48226. You may use it to learn about the studio, apply for membership, request a booking and manage your account. Do not use it to break the law, to get into an account that is not yours, to interfere with the site or its security, or to copy its content in bulk.

The photographs, film, text, logos and marks on this site belong to us or to the people who licensed them to us. Please ask before reusing them.

Membership is month to month. Dues are billed in advance on the same day each month and renew automatically until you cancel. There are no annual terms. Your price, billing frequency and next charge date are shown before you finish signing up, and again in the confirmation email we send.

A founding or locked rate stays locked while your membership continues without a downgrade or lapse. We give at least sixty (60) days' written notice before any price change.

To cancel, give 30 days' notice before your next billing date, from your portal or in writing. Your membership runs to the end of the last period you paid for. There is no cancellation fee.

Bookings under $400 are paid in full when booked. Larger bookings pay 50% when booked and the balance seven (7) days before the booking date.

• More than 7 days out: full refund.
• 7 days to 48 hours out: 50% refund, or full credit toward a new date within 90 days.
• Inside 48 hours: no refund. One reschedule within 90 days may be offered.
• If we cancel for any reason other than your breach, you get a full refund.

The condition of the space is recorded on timestamped video at the start and end of every booking. Extra cleaning is billed at $75 per hour, one-hour minimum. Cyc or seamless damage is billed at cost, plus the stage time lost while it is out of service.

Rented gear stays at 1250 Library St. It is drawn from the cage at the start of a booking against a signed Equipment Rider, a photo ID check and a card hold, and staff check it back in before the booking ends. Nothing is rented overnight, and gear returned late is billed as stage overtime.

Booking a stage or drawing gear requires a current certificate of insurance (a hot desk needs none) at the limits in the Insurance Schedule, naming Library St. Studios LLC as an additional insured, uploaded at least 48 hours before call time.

The site is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and available but do not promise that it always will be. To the fullest extent Michigan law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that Michigan law does not allow to be limited.

These terms are governed by Michigan law. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Wayne County, Michigan.

The version and effective date at the top change whenever the words do. Current members hear about a change that matters by email before it takes effect.
